RE: EIU Game Thoughts
Couple thoughts...
-Video board was smaller than I expected. Had a nice clear picture though.
-new sound system was much better.
-tailgating was fun. Band coming by the tents on west side was really cool.
-EIU QB was very good, but his receivers were very good and wide open. We controlled him in the 2nd qtr. 2nd half, we let him have too much time. We might as well have rushed 7 guys, because when we dropped 7, he still picked us apart. He collapsed a few times when we blitzed him.
-we're 3-0! Need to improve the penalties and defense.

RE: EIU Game Thoughts
EIU's talent level is not that high. They were SLOW. Love the coaching style combined with a good QB. Their coach called a great game. Reminds me of the World Series of Poker, the pros playing against amateurs and ammeters winning many games. Pros complained guys are making calls they have no right to make, but work out. Game theory is when over matched take bigger risks,if the probability is high that you will lose doing what you usually do take BIG chances to change the board. They will not do much in the playoffs this year.

Bishop is a beast.

The eiu qb is good but he doesn't seem to run well and he is not quick at all. He also goes down rather easily when pressured. He came up short on a 4th down play because he slid. He rarely moved out of the pocket and when he did his throws were not very good. Just struck me as being soft. Qb in the nfl--questionable.

One of the smarter posts I have read.

I'm sorry, but the defence deserves criticism. I'm all about giving time and credit but no, they have played really bad these last two weeks and deserve some heat. The secondary in particular have been especially bad.

RE: EIU Game Thoughts
Everyone in the stadium knew they were going to throw to the wide out Lora yet he was still wide open almost all day. Our Defense should have covered him like teams covered Brandon Marshall last year.
