He better have some good underclassmen.

Good team you have there and I hope you go bowling this year. Beat Houston this week and you will have a real shot at getting your inaugural bowl invitation.

Unfortunately, we can't go to a bowl game this year unless there are not enough teams to fill the bowl slots. Maybe they'll make an exception when we win the conference championship!!!

I don't know whether you were serious when you wrote that, but I don't think we're in any position to entertain thoughts about winning conference championships. Agree with those who're saying we should be better next year with all the seniors we'll have, but as 'Fear The Beak' said, I do anticipate a drop-off the following year when all those seniors who've been with our program for 4 years graduate. That'll be a BIG blow for us but we'll deal with that when we get there.

Until then, it's one game at a time, and our next opponent is Houston. I don't like our chances against the Cougars because they looked pretty good against Rice. We'll have to play our best to have a shot. Miners, hope you guys tear into the Rams!

UTSA has a good coach in Larry Coker. Give him the right guys, and he can do big things.

Yes we have a huge Junior class but the players that are playing the majority of the snaps are spread throughout each class. A lot of those players that are juniors right now are bench players/scout team players. Biggest concern will be the 3 players we lose on the OL.

He was trolling. But I think if we can squeeze out 7 or 8 wins somewhere by the end of the schedule (pretty difficult but by no means out of the question) any relevant bowl would have to take a hard look at UTSA and our fanbase.

I predicted us to finish 5-7 before the season started and I'm still sticking to that for now. How we do against Houston will reveal more than any other game we've had so far this year. For me, the games against Okie State and Arizona were expected blowouts. No surprises there. Likewise, and no offense to UNM and UTEP, but I kinda expected those two games to be wins. 2-2 is pretty much where I thought we'd be right now and Houston will be our first significant barometer.

The level of athlete that we are recruiting now is miles ahead of the kids we have on the roster. Our hats should go off to Coker. He's taken a group of walk on kids and turned them into warriors. They may be 6'0 and run 4.6s but none the less they are warriors getting it done on the field. Going back to our recruiting, we already are seeing true freshman crack the 2 deep. Honestly I see 2015 as our most successful season.

Even though we'll lose that HUGE group of seniors? I see next season (2014) as being our best season, then having a slight let-down in 2015 before having another strong season in 2016. Of course it's all speculation at this point and some of it depends upon how our recruiting will go in the next year or two.

Thanks. We'll need it come October and basketball season.

Congratulations on the win. Your coaches really coached ours.

It was an aberration. Believe me it'll be a long time before you do it again. Better teams in Texas have tried and failed. But good luck trying.
