That's what makes that catch even more incredible. You can see the CB pulling Russell's jersey off his shoulder pads even before the ball got there and that's how he was yanked down.

I agree. If Russell does not make the catch and no flag is thrown, the official should lose all his remaining games for rest of season...

TO said, in the post-game interview, that Russell had two one-handed catches, just like today's, in practice this week thrown from Logan.

We also got screwed out of the fumble in, I think, the first CMU series. We had 3 guys around that ball and we fell on it and downed it before any CMU players even got there!

Hard to blame the ref for missing the interference. He was a good ten feet away and if there had been anything between him and Russell his view would have been obstructed.

Russell's catch was the top play of the day and the "catch of the year." Great press for Toledo and Russell. He's definitely going to steamroll through the MAC. Aaaaaand he's only a sophomore!

Agreed, there should have been a flag.

Yesterday the officials were letting them play. Only 1 flag on the day and that was on Kagy ( I believe) for unsportsmanlike conduct.
