FIU has asked for a running clock.
I'm sorry but this deserves its own thread. Coach Turner asked for a running clock against Louisville HALFWAY THROUGH THE 3RD QUARTER. I have never heard of this before.

Coach Strong agreed. So essentially we asked for the mercy rule halfway through the game. What kind of mentality is this as coach?????

Ron Turner has to go. Right now. We have never been this bad. Ever.

65-0 with UL's backups in and a running clock. Ron Turner may be the worst coach in the history of football.

RE: FIU has asked for a running clock.
There should be a rule in place 40+ leads to automatically use a running clock. No sense in injuries for a game out of hand.

FIU will get better if nothing else being in a good recruiting location.

FAMU should have asked for one in the 1st quarter of the Ohio St game.

4th quarter and FIU only has 22 total yards? Are you kidding me? They should be immediately relegated to Division II.

UTEP has been badly beaten many times. A 77-7 beating vs Kansas and many others. I do not ever recall a coach requesting the clock rundown. FIU fans deserve better. A beatdown is bad enough while the white flag must be even more defeating for the players. That coach has gotta go.

At least Elon asked for a running clock in the 4th quarter. And they're FCS. We're supposedly FBS and asked for it just after halftime....

This is why the NCAA isn't doing anyone any favors when they allow teams to make the jump to FBS overnight. We could probably avoid the eventual split if we had just drew the line and enforced the rules that were in place like attendance

RE: FIU has asked for a running clock.
That, is this real life moment?:

We are losing by over 70 with UL's backups playing half the game and a running clock just after halftime.

I'm not trying to trash my school. I say these things because I do care a lot about our program. Maybe too much. And obviously more than our AD.
