South Florida Gametime
UCBearcats.com says the South Florida game is Saturday Oct. 5. Wasn't this originally a Thursday night game? Seems a waste to have an off week between the Miami and South Florida games unless the South Florida game would be on a weekday night.

I don't know if it was originally scheduled for a weekday, but I've been under the impression for the last month that it was on a Saturday - only because I've been planning a trip to Tampa to see my grandfather and attend the game.

I think it has always been a Saturday game. I have had the schedule printed since the beginning of the year and it has always had it on Saturday.

It seems like a "waste" now because South Florida has turned out to be a turd this year. But historically the games in Tampa we've played have been very tough games. The only game that I remember not being down to the wire there recently was 2009 and even that was a tough game. It typically would be a good game to have an extra week to rest/prepare for.

The schedule actually sets up really well this year. First bye week after the first 4 game stretch and the second bye week right before the biggest game of the year (Louisville). But sprinkled in that stretch is a Wednesday night game with Memphis that basically allows us to have 3 games in 4 weeks. Much better set up than last year with having a bye on opening week and another bye two weeks later making us play 10 straight games to close out the season.

Yea for the last few years USF has always been tough games for Cincinnati because BJ Daniels always seemed to play up for that game. It was the craziest thing. He'd middle his way through the season then go off for 400+ yards and 5 TD's against the Bearcats.

Speaking of Thur night games...i really really miss the thur night games in the old big east. (pre nfl). Was only game on, lot great matchups. And we were good just right time so we got several of these. These did wonders for our program...they are missed.

You have Louisville coming up on a Thursday.

Memphis is on a Wednesday; A night when everybody in the country is thinking college football....not!
