Richardson to Colts
Browns trade Trent Richardson to the Colts for a 1st round pick.

Poor, poor Browns fans.

The Browns recent draft history tends to make me think they just gave the Ravens a good player that they'll end up with nothing for...

Not sure I understand the trade. They traded an excellent young RB who was the #3 pick for a mid-1st round pick? I realize they want a QB, but they traded a known quantity for an unknown one. Perhaps I'm missing something, as I don't pay attention to the Browns

Well, they've got nothing right now because they don't have a QB to make anything happen. And RB's aren't that valuable in today's NFL.

They'll have 2 high picks next year to (hopefully) build an entire franchise around.

They'll have 2 high picks next year that'll fail to pan out, leaving them with nothing. The Browns have sucked in the draft lately...

Not a Browns fan here, but I'm reading they'll likely try to package those two picks to move up earlier in the first round to take a QB. Of course, at the rate they're going, they might have a top 3 pick as it is.

it'd be hilarious if they trade those picks to move even further up and bridgewater returns for his senior season. f*ck cleveland

but this is a whole new front office and coaching staff. Prior failures in the draft really have nothing to do with this.

I'm merely believing the historical trend, which I feel will continue until I see proof to the contrary. It's called going with the conservative call, based upon the team's draft history. If following a historical trend is believing something without proof, then I'm there...

Now if you want to believe otherwise, that's your call. But belief in something that goes contrary to the historical trend without ANY such proof is being downright gullible IMO...

what does a bad draft pick in 1992 (Tommy Vardell at #9) have to do with this front office? The fact is, you have no historical evidence, because this browns management has nothing to do with past ones

Word on the street is with his injuries and some locker room stuff some of the Browns players aren't too upset he's gone.

As a GM I would find it hard to tank a season to get a pick but hey, that is how the Colts got Andrew Luck and they didn't get this kind of hate with that move.

Colts blow out the 49rs in game 1 with Trent.

Browns get a W in game 1 without Trent.
