[split] AAC average attendance
(09-15-2013 08:34 PM)Native Georgian Wrote: Tulane has played 2 home games. Paid attendance (i.e., tickets sold) 20,992 for first game against an FCS opponent and 19,414 for second game against a Sun Belt opponent playing its first year in the FBS classification.
Average: 20,203.
Next home game October 5th.
You do know that actual attendance is more like 5,000. Tulane will never average more than 25,000. I've been to non Cajun Tulane games. It's pathetic. Most of your students come from the Northeast. You play in the shadows of the Saints and LSU. You play second fiddle even in your own city to LSU. If you guys were able to win a national championship and get the locals behind you and away from LSU then you could be a big time program. The dumbest move you ever made was leaving the SEC in 66.
Checkout the pie chart. I would imagine Tulane's alumni base is in the Northeast and not in the city.

Stop pimping that second tier regional directional school U La La and get back on your Sunbelt board. Tulane is ranked the number 52 top university in the nation and has presently under construction a 75 million dollar football stadium paid for by cash contributions from alumni and friends. I am sorry that you have an inferiority complex about Tulane.
