THREE UP:
Northern Illinois QB Jordan Lynch: He hasn’t had the eye-popping numbers we’ve come to expect after his sparkling season in 2012, but Jordan Lynch has now won 14 out of his 16 games as quarterback of the Huskies, and his leadership all but clinched NIU’s 2-0 start over Iowa and Idaho.

Against the Hawkeyes, the Huskies tied it up with a 33-yard pass from Lynch to Da’Ron Brown and kicked the go-ahead field goal with 10 seconds to play. The Vandals came out firing against NIU, which was coming off a bye week, and had the game tied at 35 early in the fourth. But Lynch stepped up, finishing with 152 passing yards, 159 rushing yards and five total touchdowns.

awesome comparison! The only thing I dont like in the numbers is the attempts, that is a heck of a lot of rushes for 2 games for a QB.

After looking at the stats of last season he is actually at a good pace to surpass his passing yards by a good amount.

You should send this to SI! I think what they meant was he has not put up the type of numbers he did once he got his bearings as a starting QB. His first two games last year were ok, but he definitely got "better" as the season rolled on...


Btw I think Lynch is playing at a high level and making better decisions this year, thus far.

The man gave himself some high expectations. His video game numbers will be returning starting this week.

From this point on, his stats will be video game numbers. I predict, he will have a huge game against EIU if he plays long enough.
