The way our home schedule shakes out, this may be one of the lower average attendances in our FBS history. The only thing that will save that is winning the first 3 conference games (and this one, of course).

As for all of us, if you were an attendee for the Monsoon Game, you have no excuses. I'll get my green ponchos handy.

If it has to rain at a home game, this is probably the one we want it to rain at. The opponent is not appealing, and the team is 0-2. Rain or shine, I wasn't expecting a good turnout. Like you said, hopefully we win a couple of conference games and have a good turnout to some games later in the season.

And hopefully this isn't nearly as bad as that monsoon game. Everything about that night was miserable.

Not his fault. The word dome was mentioned and he of course reacted like Pavlov's dog.

SINCE YOU ASKED:
IF Coach Bryant had wanted a dome and one with a retractable roof that whistled "Dixie" or the Bama "Fight Song" while opening and closing, the suburban fans (the same ones who voted MAPS down in 1998) would have insisted on building it right away. Over 90% of the additions and modifications to Legion Field between 1960 and the 1980s were done because Bryant and Bama wanted them built so the UA could have all the size it wanted without any of the expense. At the time of his death, Denny Stadium had about or less than 50,000 capacity.

New NCAA recruiting rules, adoption of the Tide Pride premium ticket program and great financial backing from T-town commercial interests resulted in Bama taking all premium games and later all games to campus. This left B'ham with a stadium built to Bama's specifications at city expense without its prime tenant.

WHATEVER! I'll be at Legion Field regardless of the weather. Oh, and I live in suburbia and voted for MAPS along with just about everyone I know around here.

Tell me about it, I am sick off it. Every thread he finds some way of bringing up bammer. I think we should institute a rule and warnings for to much bammer talk. Or maybe we take a short cut and ban the bama regurgitater. He has too much time on his hands and to much useless bammer info. No matter if its related or not, none of us f***ing care. Maybe if enough people come to the tailgate and tell him to shut his trap he will get the message.

03-lmfao03-lmfao Nice.

Whatever the weather, I'm planning on going with my great nephews/Godchildren. They are twin 3 year olds, so rain will mean little to us.
