Is it part of a CFB HC's job to maintain a clean program VS hear no evil see no evil
I personally think that it stinks if it happens to your program but it is your job as the head of that organization to rally your troops and keep their noses clean. Id be sending guys out to rough up agents etc what ever it took. What are your thoughts

Naw this is all slander. Alabama is Alabama b/c there CFB program is quite literally all that state has. So they funnel all the time and resources into it. Also Saban is a CFB midget genius imo

Yes it is part of the job. Now I think there is a middle ground of things you should not be held strictly liable for, such as things there was no reasonable way you could have known about, but in general the successes and failures of the program tend to fall at your feet.

I agree to an extent. Do you feel giving Tyler Bray 800 bucks is a poor investment or is it more like flushing 800 bucks down the toilet?

Of course it's the head coach's job to run a clean program.
It would be different if the HC got paid $200k per year. But they're getting paid CEO-type salaries, so they have CEO-type responsibilities. That includes taking reasonable precautions to stop this type of thing from happening.
Schools even recognize this responsibility in the contract. Most HC contracts include clauses that allow schools to fire them if there are any NCAA violations.

Preventing a kid from taking money from an agent's runner is kind of hard for a coach to do, unless they're given the power to prevent kids from seeing anyone, which is beyond their capability, as well as being against the law. An agent's runner could be anyone, even people closely associated with the program, and you can't watch every kid 24/7...
