RE: Mean Green Basketball Schedule
It's the worst I've seen in a long time. God, I hate Benford so much. It's like he thinks he can erase the complete dismantling of our basketball program by scheduling only Div-II, NAIA or whatever else lesser programs are out there. DISPITE THE FACT THAT HE LOST TO ONE IN TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR.
So, so frustrating.

RE: Mean Green Basketball Schedule
This is one of the worst OOC schedules I've ever seen.
CUSA needs to ban schools from scheduling Non-Division I programs.

At least you'll have a bunch of wins (hopefully...) to start off conference play.
But yeah, it really doesn't help us any if we play crap Division 2 schools (AND NAIA TEAMS TOO, MIDDLE TENNESSEE SCHEDULING STAFF).

I'm hoping some of the AD's that actually care about basketball put some pressure on Banowsky to implement some scheduling standards. If we don't, we'll be a 1 bid conference most seasons.
Playing schedules like this hurts the entire conference, not just the team that schedules games like this.

I had always wondered why CUSA didn't get scheduling agreements with the MAC, A10, CAA, MVC, Sun Belt and MWC. At least every team in those conferences would get some decent home games and then everybody could get rid of those DII's, DIII's and NAIA games. It makes makes more sense for ECU to play home and away games against Delaware, JMU, Indiana State, Drexel, VCU or Richmond; than to play a bunch of schools like UVA-Wise, Mount Olive, Chowan, North Carolina Wesleyan, etc. Playing the DII's, DIII's and NAIA does not hurt the league's RPI, but those lower level schools can not be much help getting CUSA schools ready for conference play.

Understand it was the only way to get needed number of home games.

No. I don't believe that this new coaching regime wants anything to do with playing teams that will expose them. Unless a DRAMATIC turnaround happens this season, we've got a bona fide dumpster fire on our hands.
