I agree about Dalton, but what about that vaunted D-Line who can't even get past a guy who was at Church last Sunday?

My take on Dalton is he was at his ceiling when he left college. Smart dude, good arm when he has an open lane to throw through. But he is a sort of short pocket passer. He will always be limited, like a mini trent dilfer.

I don't think he sucks, he had a terrible half. I do think he's mediocre and will prevent the Bengals being as good as everyone expects this year.

He was a bad draft pick. Not a good NFL QB. He sucks.

Considering who was picked immediately afterward it certainly makes it look like a huge mistake.

He's got issues. We would have probably been better off with Skelton.

Got into a discussion about that last week. The other guy kept saying how much better Dalton's stats are. I said I'd take Kaepernick without thinking twice.

Anyone who thinks Dalton belongs in the same discussion as Kaep isn't worth debating.

I'm not sold on Kaepernick either. Someone is going to break him in half one of these days.

Is is there still time for Dalton to catch a late growth spurt. They have batted down about 10 of his passes tonight.

I have to think that was a big win for the Bengals confidence no matter how bad the Steelers are.

I'm not going to sit here and claim he's a top 5 QB but if you think Andy Dalton sucks then you don't know football. He's a slightly above average QB that has room to improve. 25-45 for 280 yards with 1 TD and no picks? Not a great game but nothing to hang your head at either.

Hard to believe I have to defend Dalton, but not a lot of insight from most posters in this thread.
