Why the hate, Andy was the qb but it was AJ and the D that got us in to the playoffs; Andy isn't great and I don't know that he ever will be, but he is pretty solid for a young qb.

He's definitely regressing. He is extremely impatient and throws to the first man he sees - and that is open or not. He throws high, he throws too long.

He's hanging his receivers out to get killed when they catch the ball. He underthrew Green on that flea flicker play.

Several of his passes looked like wounded ducks - it's like his hands are too small to grip the football.

Luckily parity is king in the NFL. The NFL is becoming increasingly unwarchable for me. Tons of mediocre being shoved down my throat as something awesome by the over produced coverage.

Can I take back my praise for Flacco? My god that was awful.

I am going anti-Andy now too. Too inconsistent. He was never this bad in seasons past... hopefully they figure out what is wrong with his delivery and fix it.

Good QBs dont miss wide open receivers ...Wide open as in the defender isnt even close and he manages to throw the ball over his head and out of bounds...Cant win if you cant score

There has to be something wrong with his throwing motion, IMO. Whether his hand is flailing open or something else, it needs to be addressed. Either he is injured or has mechanics that are screwed up.

I agree - something is not right. He was better than this previously. And lets face it he should be getting BETTER as a young QB not worse.

IMO Marvin and Andy need to go back and look at his old tape and compare it to his recent tape to figure out what the heck is going on.

The bottom line is that he can't continue to pass the ball this way and be a starting NFL QB.

did it seem like andy was pressured and hurried a lot more? is our o-line that good? we could barely even run the ball. i wonder if andy trusts the o-line. with that said that was a terrible performance, just terrible. that botched snap late in the game sealed it. i think he has to learn that he doesn't always have to rely on aj, though easy to say from my beanbag chair. god i wish i had a bean bag chair

Also shows that Dalton is "average".

Dalton's selling point when he was drafted was his maturity and experience. He came into the league about as close to a finished product as you can. That also means he doesn't have the room to grow that other QBs do. He is what he is and that's what he's going to be.

He's an average QB but he's the wrong QB for this team. The Bengals went out and got big play guys to pair with a QB whose biggest weakness is throwing downfield.

They need to replace Cook too.
