Yeah like the Orange Bowl, right?

If you think Purdue is FL st your are as off your rocker as the people in this forum say you are. Totally different talent context.

So we perform better when we play teams that we're better than, not when we're "disrespected."

RE: Purdue vs ND
When a team plays as bad as Idaho, Purdue, and Akron the first two weeks of the season, there is a lot of room for improvement, and the possibility to really surprise the next team with some consistency and not turning the ball over. We probably won't see the Purdue team that played the first two games of the season. I can't see NIU as double digit favorites at Purdue, and we will need to play well to win.

Doubtful, unless NIU craps their bed again this week vs Eastern.

The line isn't set by analysis of opponents, it based on gamblers. More people will bet Purdue (not saying it's smart), so they'll probably have to give a field goal to NIU to even out the betting.
The initial line is set by power ratings the line makers keep on each team with home field advantage factored in. Granted these power ratings can change the most during the first couple of weeks as teams sort themselves out. But, typically, their power ratings will not fluctuate signicantly based one week's results. Before this past weekend, NIU would have been favored vs Purdue by probably 4-6 pts. After this past weekend it's probably moved down to NIU by 2-5 pts.

Purdue vs ND
It's college football...there is no rhyme or reason as to why teams play better week to week. KIDS get high and low very quickly and that leads to the constant up's and downs of the game.

My guess is that we are a 2-3 pt underdog at Purdue since they are at home.
