Quote:Oklahoma State third baseman Josh Fields, who also quarterbacked the Cowboys to a Cotton Bowl victory by throwing for a record 307 yards, was the 17th pick by the Chicago White Sox.

:stupid:

That's from ESPN's website concerning the MLB draft today. Anyone want to tell me what's wrong with this picture?

Yet another example of how little the sports press thinks of us, or any team from Mississippi for that matter. In their minds Ok. St. shoulda won the game, so they did. In their minds we had a good season last year on account of Eli, but to them it is forgettable and meaningless. They figure we will go back to 6-5 seasons now, when we are having a good year, creeping into the Weedwhacker against some other nobody on New Year's Eve.

I'm not sure why yall are surprised at the brainlessness of ESPN. These are the same people who said that one of our players (who lives up the road from me) was from Michigan. If you're counting on ESPN for any sort of factual information, you are very much out of luck.

I really don't care what ESPN thinks.

I like Trev Alberts about as much as I like Osama Bin Laden.
