RE: Congratulations Blue Raiders
Congrats Blue Raiders! We made it to our seats right at kickoff...missed out on any tailgating, but still witnessed some great MTSU hospitality. Thanks to a random fan who gave us five tickets while walking to the stadium. We'd been at a ballpark all morning/early afternoon and in the car the rest of the day just barely making kickoff. It was much appreciated, and we paid it forward by buying food for the kids sitting in front of us.

I only made it to halftime as our two youngest were just plain worn out, but my husband and older three said the second half was really fun. The only complaint was food/concessions, but we're spoiled. For example, our eldest played in Bayou La Batre two weekends ago and had fresh shrimp and gumbo...yummo! Best of luck the rest of the season.

I was out of town over the weekend, and had no access to a TV set until late Saturday night, saw the final score, and was astounded.....Congratulations, Blue Raiders! Looking forward to November 2nd...

Yes, I was expecting MTSU to win by much wider margin, too.

I'm certainly no expert (really don't understand many facets of the game). Take this with a grain of salt, but neither team looked like world beaters...to me anyway. Granted, I only saw the first half when Memphis committed crazy silly penalties. As I understand it, the second half was much better, and the game was competitive all the way to the end. Hubby knows more about the "play" than I do and said he could see progress compared to recent years when the Tigers got blown out by teams like Duke and MTSU. Still 0-2 though so TIFWIW.

Glad you had a good trip. I've always had a great deal of pride at how hospitable our fan base is to visiting fans.

And yes our stadium lacks a lot to be desired. Too many shortcuts to get it off the ground and now it is what it is. The price for waiting too long to do it and moving to I-A at the wrong time.

Hated to lose- but just glad we kept it reasonable and wasn't a blow out.

MT ranked higher in Massey, and was predicted to win, so no surprise. Pretty exciting game there in the 4th quarter.
Congrats MT.

Looks like one of the better Memphis defenses in recent years. Give that freshman QB a little more experience and I see Memphis on the right track. I expect another great game in Memphis next season.

Had a group of Memphis fans set up their tailgate next to me in the Grove. Great people.

I was glad to get out of there with a win. I won't be surprised to see Memphis win a few that many thought they wouldn't this season, especially if they can get the penalty problem figured out.

RE: Congratulations Blue Raiders
Memphis definitely had some speed. Very fast backs, and one of the few D-lines to hold our starting RB in check.

Didn't the Tigers win several in a row to close out the 2012 season ?

I was surprised at how mobile the 6-7 QB was.
