They are very poorly coached. The routes they run are soft, it's been like that for years.
Unfortunately, I know this. It just seems that with the good athletes we have, every now and then, they could get some separation.
On another note: St Fran. had two plays, a good field goal kicker, a couple fumble recoveries, and Birdsong throwing to them. Other than that we had this game covered.
I bet you're the greatest ______ from ______ ever. Youve never been wrong or lost ever. That's some clown ass loser excuse talk there man. We played like **** today. We are lucky to have DQ.

Agree. I believe the most important positive from today is we played a good team (STFU is no slouch) and we learned how to come from behind and win. I am pleased overall with the game. I thought Mickey's clock management at the end of the first half to get us the FG was good too. We played a good team with an injured QB and we won, despite four turnovers. I'll take it!

I like this bulldog. It's easy to get down...but we did come from behind and we did win. It's important to focus on the positives sometimes...

I was at the game bulldog and they were good. Their QB was accurate and could scramble. Their receivers got open. Their kicker was good. And most importantly they made no mistakes. They wanted it, and they certainly weren't the same team we played last time even if we had a terrible night. We definitely played like garbage, but you are absolutely right for giving them credit for an awesome effort.

Uh, we did win dude. He's fully aware we didn't play our best. DQ was a savior tonight, no doubt...but sometimes pulling out a win when playing like butt is something to be positive about. Remember that.

On a side note this is why you go root no matter how easy the team is supposed to be. Our team needed it's fans tonight, and even though it was sparse I feel we were just loud enough on that 4th and 1 to cause that false start and make them kick the field goal instead. They were picking up that first for sure with the way they were driving, and instead the BFS faithful stopped them and bailed out our D. That W may end up getting us into the playoffs, and thats why you root!

I'm pretty terrible at this, but I would guess 18 - 20,000

Man, if that's accurate, that's not bad for St Francis. But that's your point and it's well taken...every game requires the fans to show up and make it a home field advantage...

RE: SFU @ JMU Game Thread
Just got home. Long drive! Haven't read this thread, but just wanted to throw in the mix that we had a gut check. I really didn't think we were going to win. St. Francis did not resemble the team they were last year. They have a couple of real studs. #1 played both ways. We had two glaring weaknesses: 1. our secondary is not good. Lezotte needs to get them together and teach them how to keep the play in front of the. The line and linebackers are doing their part, now the D backs need to pull their weight. 2. SFU's extremely tough man coverage dominated our receivers and quarterback. It is one thing as a receiver to find the soft spot in a zone, but they need work on learning how to beat man coverage. SFU had some stud corners.

As disheartening as aspects of this game were, I was impressed with the defensive pressure we applied. The 8 sacks tonight along with the 4 we got last week is one area in which I'm glad to see we're excelling. We haven't put up numbers like that in at least a few years, I don't think.

I can't find the box score at JMU Sports, but ESPN has 21,276 as tonight's attendance.
I was there, too. That's the sloppiest half of football I've seen a JMU team play since we started coming back to games 3 years ago. That being said, apart from the two big plays the defense generally was pretty good. Yes, their QBs had luck finding their receivers, but the line held the running game in check.
If JMU was going to play awful football and (hopefully) get a wakeup call, this was a better opponent to do it against than a conference foe.

Just points out the need to get our secondary playing better. The past two years the dbacks were good and we got no pressure from the line. this yer it is a reversal.

I could see 21,000, but by the end of the game probably more like 15,000.

RE: SFU @ JMU Game Thread
I was there.
Listen, if ANYBODY tries to spin this, JMU was bad. I mean real bad.....as in, Dr. Warner walking around saying their bad. This is a poorly coached team at this junction. That being said.......We got a W. UR took and L.... my Saturday is complete.
We have GLARING issues. SFU is worse than URI.............let that simmer. UNCC would have HAMMERED us tonight.
