they did get hosed, but so did we when we played them. So I guess all is even now.

Not really. They ended up running out of downs so the clock never came into play. Sucks they lost.

They gave them a first, then let the clock run 15 seconds, decided to review the spot, and marked it back making it 3rd and short. But they didn't put any time back after the review. Not sure why. Everyone was confused by that.

If they had 25 seconds left, they would not have run a play designed to be so quick on 3rd down.

They wasted 15 seconds at the line before the replay ever occurred. They were going to run the ball once anyway since they had that timeout left. They didn't get screwed just like we didn't get screwed last week against them.

Anybody watching Alabama and a&m?

It's time for Verne lundquist to retire. He simply cant keep up with the speed of the game anymore.

Like most networks, they refuse to make the hard decisions and get rid of thes old guys who can't get it done anymore. Or the guys who rely completely on schitick, but whose act has gotten old (Gus Johnson, vitals, Kevin Harlan)

As one ODU poster pointed out, unlike start ups ODU and UTSA the UNCC kids were recruited knowing they would be FBS before they graduate.

Our first recruiting class was FCS and the majority of our FBS recruits are redshirts not touching the field.

Rather take a poster's "word", do some research. The best part was you listened to an ODU fan 03-lmfao

So the studio guy for CBS just gave an update in the Alabama-A&M game saying "Remember Appalachain State? It almost happened again to Michigan, this time Akron...." I guess that means he thought Akron was FCS?

You have had two recruting classes. This past year was recruited as an FBS. The first one happened months before an official FBS announcement with FBS rumors, assumed to be true, were swirling all over your program while recruiting your first class.

So while not technically correct on my part, you took an @$$ whoopin from a school that recruits against the bottom of the FCS world.

No excuse for what happened to you guys today...see you next week.

RE: Week 3- Other Games
Anyone else just see CBS break into coverage of the A&M/Bama game to say:

"Remember Appalachian State when they played at Mchigan? Well it almost happened again. Akron fell just short."

Now were they implying they thought Akron was FCS? Maybe. But even if they knew they were FBS, they were basically equating a team from the MAC with a good FCS team.

You're correct, we took an ass whooping today.

Once again look at our first class and their rankings. We have little to no experience on our squad, today isn't surprising especially with a freshman QB throwing 5 picks.

Our program is going to take some lumps, doesn't matter who is field.

Heard this too, I really can't understand how some of these guys get paid.

Yeah, I posted that three posts before you did! I want credit, dammit!!! 03-hissyfit

Seriously though, I really hope they know that Akron is FBS, otherwise, that's just pathetic...

Delaware down 23-7 on Navy but the score is much more lopsided than the game has been. The Hens have played the Shipmen pretty well and I think the Dukes will have their hands full in two weeks against this squad....there will be NO rest in the CAA for JMU this year.

Was anybody else surprised that ECU didn't sell out today with Va. Tech coming to town? I was really surprised to see empty seats. I've been to Greenville and trust me, there is nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon at 12pm.
