They included Chapel Hill's field, which invalidates anything else they said.

I don't keep up with their field as all, but is that pattern permanent? I was under the assumption it was for one game or something.

RE: The Top Ten field designs in college football (ECU #2)
That's not the best pic of ECU's field....that's a 2010 pic.

Now, they paint the sidelines yellow (black the other night) instead of white and they have one purple and one gold mat where the teams are located. It's much more visually appealing because of all the color.

The argyle thing at UNC is stupid...but at least it fits with their "holier than thou" mantra. Give them credit for consistently propping themselves up on "a pedestal that doesn't exist".

The Boise field is the worst abomination in all of D1A.

I get that you guys all hate UNC and anything related to it, but from an outsiders perspective, I think it's pretty cool.

Well that's interesting. Come to think of it I like Alabama's field design. Its so classic. It should have been on this list.

I hate everything about Bama, but I'm not the unreasonable type. If that field made the list, I wouldn't have been ripping it just because it's Bama's.

The Boise field is cool in person. The home side has one of the prettiest views in all of football.
The biggest issue is that stadium has a track around it. Underneath all the coverings on the sidelines and the retractable endzone bleachers is a track (or there was three years ago).
ECU's field should've been number one, everyone is copying the state silhouette with school logo thing now, though I do think your endzones could be upgraded to tie in with the pirate logo at midfield.
The new Wyoming field is nice as well, uniforms are still ugly.

Off topic, I hope you guys all read the SI piece on Chris Johnson. Great perspective on the guy.

Yeah I wish ECU had copyrighted the entire idea/concept so we could sue every single one of them and New Era.
