Name your biggest surprise and disappointment for your team so far this year.
ECU

Best Surprise = our two true freshman wide receivers ; Isiah Jones had made some nice catches and Davon Grayson has had 4 TD grabs in 2 games! Looks very promising.

Biggest Disappointment = Our Oline. Has not met expectations so far. Run blocking is sub-par.

LA Tech

Biggest surprise (negative): Our passing game is really struggling so far in 2013. The good news is, it's still very early.

Biggest surprise (positive): Our running game is very good in 2013, as anticipated. A different RB has stepped up in each of the first 2 weeks. Also, our defense is playing much better than our 2012 version.

Biggest disappointment: All-World RB Kenneth Dixon leaving the game with an unknown knee injury last night.

Biggest Surprise: WR crew especially Kam Jones and Kenny Bias who have stepped up their role

Biggest Disappointment: Pass defense but mainly at CB. We get back our suspended CB transfer from Oklahoma this week so hopefully it improves

Yes. He scored 28 TD's in 2012. By himself. As a FRESHMAN. And yes, that broke Marshall Faulk's freshman TD record by about 10 TD's. So losing him is a big deal.

If he's at 100%, Kenneth Dixon could score close to 28 TD's against Tulane in 4 quarters. If he's out of the game or ineffective, than the game becomes a 50/50 toss-up, IMHO. To me, that's the kind of impact he has on the game.

Biggest surprise - after two weeks, albeit against less than stellar competition, we are ranked #7 nationally in total defense and #9 in scoring defense. We played a lot of bad teams last year and couldn't stop them, so big improvement.

Biggest disappointment - Davonte Allen in Dobson's X receiver spot.

RE: Name your biggest surprise and disappointment for your team so far this year.
I didn't watch the MT-UNC game this weekend, so unfortunately I can't speak to MT lately.

For Miami, however, I have a more complete picture, and I'll share it anyway, since I do love you all on this board.

Miami
Biggest Surprise - Our defense winning games. UM 21, UF 16. Florida will say they threw the game, but I think we won it.
Biggest Disappointment - Stephen Morris. He was supposed to be a star quarterback but he played like MASSIVE crap against UF.

MT
Biggest Surprise - Coming out strong against both WCU and UNC. UNC didn't turn out well, but still - I thought we made improvements during a game against the ACC Coastal's #2 or #3 team.
Biggest Disappointment - Crappy defense against UNC. 7.7 yards per play were made against the MT D and that can't happen. We won't win many games allowing that type of yardage, sure it's UNC, but still...
