Blazr is making things up. No one purposely hunted down coachs' families just to make them cry. Someone may have overheard things they didn't like, but it was accidental and it is sort of an occupational hazard with being a family member of a coach.

Yeah, if you are going to sit with the fans as a family member to the coach, you better have some thick skin. Fans aren't likely to point out the positives, just the negatives.(and we all know that pointing out the negatives a very nice way to put this vs what actually happens) You should know that before you ever sit down.

I think it is what the military refers to as "collateral damage".

God help the families of any coach within earshot if we don't look a lot better Saturday. That's not a threat, just cold hard reality.

If I was a coach of any football team, my family would be in a skybox or stay at home.

I enjoyed meeting and talking to several of the coaches' wives on the bus to the South Carolina game last year. Nice ladies.
