RE: Tulane @ LaTech on Thursday
Through the first two games I was aggravated that we did not attack down field more. Then in the first quarter of Thursday's game, we attack down the field, loosen the defense, and have success moving the ball into scoring position. A false start on the first drive and dropped TD on the second forced field goals, but we did move the ball. Then it seemed we just went into a tortoise shell. We played way to conservatively in the first half after the first two drives. When the freshman came in during the second half, we basically had no offense. We have other QBs, refused to try anything different and then bad coaching decisions by Holtz down the stretch gave us no hope. Congrats to Tulane. Not impressed with Skip Holtz so far. Talent at skill positions are pretty good on O with exception of QB play. Most had significant playing time last year. Just have to get QB situation settled and be more aggressive throughout the game. Still rebuilding season if we can do it, but at least we would be competitive and angling for a bowl eligible season. Otherwise we're just going through the motions to get to the offseason.
