26-7 niners at the half.
The niners scored on their first drive, got a safety, added a field goand then scored again to make it 19-0 after one.
Chowan scored on a nice 45 yard pass, but Charlotte took the kickoff back for a td.
The niners are playing a little sloppy, but are eating Chowan up on defense.

Chowan is a small Baptist College in North Carolina...Divison 2 athletics.

Yes there is a Chowan Community College, not the same school that UNCC is playing.

Chowan is terrible. I thought they were D3.

They were a JuCo for a while, then went to D3 when they became a four-year school. They were in the former Dixie/current USA South for a while with NC Wesleyan, Methodist and Greensboro, then I think they got kicked out? Then they moved up to D2, joining the CIAA as its only non-HBCU.

I don't understand the hate here. All start ups play D2's. It's the way it works. Many start ups lose a D2 game.

Chowan is better than campbell.

That ODU game that never happened would have been ugggggglllyyyyyy.

I do not see any hate...People where just talking about Chowan. Nobody is giving you a hard time for playing them but lets be honest, playing them is not much better than playing a quality High School team. I think most understand that you have to crawl before you can walk...You should be spanking teams like this and you guys are doing that...So no worries.

That's right, Chowan was there at the rebirth of ODU football too. They're pretty much the "Welcome to Football Welcome Wagon".

Next week against Central will be much harder. 63 scholarships and senior starters.

Special teams were absolutely horrible today. Better shape up for next week.

It was a real boring game (especially in the third and fourth quarters)... very sloppy with lots of turnovers and fumbles.
