They visit JMU in two weeks...

We'll see where we stand after the JMU game. We have only played cupcakes thus far, but I am pleased with what I see.

Congrats Charlotte. This stuff is fun isn't it? Makes you wonder why you waited so long to have football, huh?

Beware of the latter part of the season. What will happen is that the better coaching staffs down the road now have game film to throw wrinkles at you. They will find your weaknesses and try to exploit them.

playing them is not much better than playing a quality High School team. [/u]04-cheers

Uhh, no 01-wingedeagle----exaggerate much?

I am 100% serious here...Take the top few high school programs in the state and put them up against Chowan and it would be a competitive game. It is not a knock against you guys, that is what you do when you start up a program. These are games that you guys should be winning by large margins and you guys are doing that but lets all be honest about who you are playing.
How about you don't make fun of our football schedule and I won't make fun of your basketball schedule? This is just what our start up programs have to do, right?

The difference is, this is the schedule we had to schedule because it was our first year and then teams dropped us from their schedule when they found out we were going FBS. ECU has no excuse for the way they schedule in basketball.

Hence my sarcastic reference to "our" (both of us) "start up programs".

Strong TV ratings for the game as well, drew a 2.1, for comparison UNC-MT drew a .5 during the same time slot.
