Exclamation WVU/FOX
What's the deal here. Why do they always play WVU games on FS1/FOX/FX. They've had like 15 games in the last year on those channels. Is it like the Oregon and Nike deal where someone at FOX went to WVU.

RE: WVU/FOX
Both the Pac12 and Big XII have TV contracts split between FOX and ESPiN. Many Big XII games are on FOX networks, not just WVU. Same with the Pac12. It's not all Oregon, even if it seems that way to you...

Not sure about the BigXii, but to avoid this situation PAC teams have a minimum and maximum number of appearances for ESPN, FOX, and PAC networks.

I think it's more due to WVU's location in the eastern time zone, while the rest of the conference is on central time. Because of that, WVU's 12 o'clock kickoffs are probably going to be picked up more often than not...

Today in Atlanta there are 35 games on TV and only 5 of those 70 teams are FCS. There were at least 4 games on TV Thursday and Friday. So that's over 70 of the 125 FBS teams on TV. And then there are regional networks like Fox Southwest that won't be seen here. Basically all the P5 are on TV nearly all the time in their home region.

It's this. It gives Fox a "name" program to throw into that Noon time slot almost every week.

Even though we are projected to have a down season WVU vs Oklahoma is an interesting national tv match up, especially in week 2.

RE: WVU/FOX
I don't think WVU is going to be as down as everyone predicts...

I did expect some unpredictability early in the season, and I think I nailed that expectation so far...
