The Blah's bullying tactics are in full force...AGAIN...
I'm not going to post a link (so sue me!...wait, they might actually sue me), but I read that they took the Free Press to court, and the judge is making the Free Press hand over some documents (financial statements, etc.) because the Blah is pissed that the Free Press's founders started their own paper.

Actually, I'm siding with The Blade here. That's contract law 101. If you reach a financial settlement when leaving a place and violate the terms of the settlement, then you face the agreed to penalties. It's not bullying, it's just enforcing a contract and the best interest of the business. Any company in the same situation would have done the same thing. If Tom Pounds didn't like the restrictions in the contract, he shouldn't have signed it.

But they don't have any evidence that a contract was violated do they? In what way do they claim to be harmed? They found a judge to join their fishing expedition so they can get out of payments? The settlement apparently didn't say he couldn't work for a local journalistic effort and the bland and the Free Press are hardly in the same market. The Free Press is in the news and entertainment business. The bland is in the advertisement and funnies business.

Personally, I wouldn't mind knowing the bloc's gang map. That's the only reason they could be going after this guy. He knows where the bodies are.

Break out those old "Day Break Dispatch" photos catching the Blocks trying to pickup copies of that free newspaper and throwing them out. Somethings never change.Class act as always.
