I get more confused by the lack of artifical turf every year. I heard more than once the reason was international soccer. But that's not true, since some stadiums where they do play have it. The one time cost to put in, then maintain has to be much lower. I mean why else would colleges, HIGH SCHOOLS do it!

Only explanation is something to do with maintenance and supplier, aka who are they wired to.
