The ECU stadium looks nice on tv because the seats in the one endzone are connected to the sides of the stadium. The other endzone looks like it houses their football facilities. Too bad NIU doesn't have the same setup which would make it feel more like a stadium, but it appears there is not enough room in the one endzone to do it. I believe this is where Compher ran off to.

Here is my latest, widlest fantasy re: HS.

Dismantle and sell most all of the EAST GRANDSTANDS.

BUILD NEW , LARGER CONCRETE STADIUM similar to West stands but WITH PRESS BOX AND SKY BOXES. Move students & vistors in west stands.

Keep some of east stands for a south end zone with limited rows of seating beneath scoreboard for band and visitors.

If the road south of Huskie Stadium was rerouted could you build a fair amount of end zone seating? Bowl in the south end zone and build an upper deck on the east side and it would be a pretty cool venue. It does take money.

I do believe Compher has turned around the ECU football program. His face now belongs on the college football Mt. Rushmore with jerry.

When is ECU scheduled to play at Idaho?
Just think, we could have played at Northwestern next weekend.
Instead, PJ will be rowing over there.

I think PJ right now is wishing he could row into a bit more tame of waters. He has really embarrassed himself in those whole process.

I think I've said this before. But what if the road was just dug out and made to be a tunnel UNDER a seating structure. multi level access to the seats themselves could come from each side and in front. Emergency vehical access would remain where it is?....idk. Just a brainstorming thought.

If you're talking about a public road tunnel, I believe security would be a major issue.

Or couldn't you just build another structure like the east stands and have the "inner walkway" just be the road?

And as far as security, they lock that road down during gameday anyway.

I agree. I think they may be able to get the road closed(assuming they can get permission). Just put the road on the east side of the stadium through the former theater parking lot out to 38 and the west street already goes to 38(but kind of awkwardly). You leave a large sidewalk behind the new south stands for fans and emergency vehicles. Plenty of room for some stands.
