IMO, it was a shoulder high hit on the QB, that slid up to a helmet to helmet contact. Not intentional IMO. They're overreacting to this new rule.

Ok, I thought it may be the case. I am going to watch for that this year. I expect more then a few wrong calls by ref's saying they were playing it safe. It's gonna be a loooooong season. 07-coffee3

Tend to agree. UH player didn't leave his feet. Not sure how this is targeting and the ECU hit the other night wasn't

I understand the point of the new rule, but ejecting a player for the first offense is ridiculous. First time, you penalize 15 yds, second time you eject. Seems obvious to me that you can use common sense and protect players. /shrug

Coach Levine needs to forget about Piland's ego and put O'Korn in.

The ejection part is to bring home the sevarity of the issue however, I believe 15 yards for the first "Team" offense and ejections after would suffice. 07-coffee3

O'Korn might get his chance to overtake Piland in this game. Piland started off okay, but all this underthrowing and not being on the same page as your receiver on a 3rd and 4 is not it. He doesnt seem to understand that Levine does not go for it on 4th down, so you have to convert the 3rd down play.

Terrible play call on 3rd down. Levine doesnt want to win. I thought he said he got it. He does not get it.

One thing I have noticed is that Temple's LBs overcommit. Running the counter against them leads to huge yardage every time.

He doesn't know how to. This is what happens when you hire a special teams coordinator.

Under Briles and Sumlin, they were ruthless. 4th and whatever, let's go pick it up. 4th and an inch, and Levine is giddy to march out his shiny kick team.

It's pathetic.
