Home opener nearly sold out?!
Got this post off of facebook - post by the Huskie Marching Band late today.

"Huskie Marching Band families, fans, and alumni! Have you gotten your tickets to the first home game on September 21st against Eastern Illinois University?

Make sure you pick them up! The West Stands of Huskie Stadium are nearly SOLD OUT! Move quickly!"

Is this possible????

Nope, the past 2 seasons and last saturday didn't actually happen. It's still the night after the 2010 MACC and you are dreaming after that painful loss and the coach who didn't want to talk to you people...don't wake up!

Could be just baiting the fan base, but I hope it is true. Good thing I have East Side tickets, just will have to make sure I go in a little earlier.

Look at the seating chart, there isn't a lot left.

RE: Home opener nearly sold out?!
They gave away a pair of tickets to this game to each of us who attended the Football 101 clinic. I think they are in section A or B I have forgotten now. So that was a couple hundred tix right there given out.

I have to say, they have really been flooding facebook & pushing folks to buy season tix or any game tickets. Maybe it is actually working?

Planning on attending this game with a group of 4. Normally just drive out the day of the game and pick up tickets for the east side. Do you think the game will be a complete sellout and should order them ahead of time? Or should i still be safe showing up an hour before the game to purchase?[/i]

RE: Home opener nearly sold out?!
I have 5 season tickets. Just bought 20 more tickets for the East side for this game. If/when we beat Idaho, I have no doubt this game will sell out. I have 14 of these tickets accounted for and none of them are the regulars who go to games with me. Great weather wouldn't hurt either.

this feels like 2003 homecoming when the game was sold out and people were climbing trees to catch a glimpse of the game!

Buy ASAP. I would not be surprised if the west side was sold out before kickoff for Idaho.

Without student tickets I wonder how they many tickets they are going to put on sale for the East side. With the 2000 High School band kids I doubt there is much room.

I let my sister know she should buy a few tickets ahead of time for the west side. I know they don't want to sit on the east side.

It looks like there are just over 1,000 left at this time. In the past, I think most fans bought on game day, but many may be very disappointed at the home opener when they can't get tickets. The only one who won't be disappointed is FatHuskie who may also be sold out if no seats are available.

I would think just West side. For the first game of the year, after Iowa and assuming we beat Idaho the East side would be half full at a minimum which would put us at about 19,000 at least. Should be more.

Yeah, but it's band day. That will take up a good chunk of space on the east side. Can I still buy Huskieland season tickets? I may get two more just so I don't to worry about random friends who want to go not being able to get it.
