This doesn't seem like much respect for ODU. How do the ODU fans feel about this?

It's to be expected. We lost by 14 to ECU, and MD is supposed to be better than ECU. We'll see.

If our D steps it up, we can beat anyone on our schedule.

I'm expecting to be double digit dogs for all our FBS games except Idaho.

Anytime you have FCS against FBS everyone pretty much thinks it's gonna be a rout. Hope to prove them wrong.

Anytime you play without having a defense, you are predicted to lose.

In fairness, I wouldn't want to judge this year's D on last weeks performance (or even this week's). We all know that we were a poor FCS D over our history, so I don't expect to dominate any FBS teams on that side of the ball yet. Physically, we stood up to a very good FBS Offense pretty well last week. The problem was simply a lack of depth at certain positions. ECU was able to put 5 very good WRs out there every snap, and we just didn't have the personnel to cover them all (and if we tried some nickel package, ECU would have likely run the ball down our throats.)

Let's get a couple of FCS games under our belt before we decide if there is really any improvement. The Liberty and Citadel games should tell us a lot.

No way they beat us by 18 and I have serious doubts they are better than ECU.

Here is my position on this. The Maryland offensive line averages about 290. I think this might be a line our defense just might be able to stand up to, long enough for our offense to get a win.

To be expected after how Maryland played last week. But, I'm skeptical that they are better than ECU.

How much would JMU be underdogs by?

I don't think they are as good on offense as ECU. Now I'm certain they are better on defense, but TH is a stud. I'll be rooting for you guys to pull the upset.

FBS games this weekend 38 of them have point spreads of +20-points, lots of games with crazy spreads. Cleamson is giving up -52.

Get used to hearing the names C.J. Brown, Stefon Diggs, and Deon Long. 18 points is about where it should be, this is a better Maryland team than any the last 3-4 years if they stay healthy. They would be favored over JMU by more than 20. A lot more talent on this team than when they played 4 years ago

Oh I'm sure JMU would beat Maryland easily.

18 sounds about right to me....

ODU - 38
MD - 20

Wouldn't be shocked in the least if ODU walks in there and gets the W.

Was it last year they beat W&M 7-6? I'm not all that worried.
