ODU football team and its fans did a good showing @ ECU and your QB is as good as anyone ECU will face this year. Gook lucky the rest of season as I am sure it will be a successful one. Also most folk in NC do not know where Gardner Webb is located. My understanding from others it has less than 2,500 undergraduate students.

It's in Boiling Springs, NC about 1 hour west of Charlotte. Not sure about the number, but less than 3k sounds about right to me. Many community colleges are larger IMO.

RE: Your Predictions for Week 2
Let's not forget our future conference mates. All of C-USA is rooting for you guys

Chowan at Charlotte: Tougher game, but Charlotte should get #2 against this in-state Division 2 team
Western Kentucky at Tennessee: Expect Tennessee to win, but WKU has the ability to pull it out. May be a good game.
Old Dominion at Maryland: Good chance for an upset win here by ODU

RE: Your Predictions for Week 2
Currents:

FAU @ ECU - ECU by a TD or two.

FIU vs UCF - UCF **SUCKS!!!** (Panthers, PLEASE prove me wrong!)

Marshall vs Gardner-Webb - Marshall by as many as we want.

MTSU @ UNC - MTSU with the upset special.

S.Miss @ Nebraska - Nebraska by a lot.

UAB @ LSU - LSU by even more.

LaTech vs Lamar - Techsters by a few TDs.

North Texas @ OHIO - 03-puke ou (again, PLEASE, prove me wrong and beat their bobkitten asses! 05-mafia)

Tulane vs S.Alabama - Tulane. But USA keeps it respectable.

Tulsa vs Colorado State - The Hurricane roars and gets the win at home.

UTEP vs New Mexico - UTEP. I mean, is that even a questions?

UTSA vs Oklahoma St - Okie State in a close one.

Futures:
Charlotte vs Chowan - I've never even heard of Chowan, but judging from that beatdown Charlotte laid on Campbell last weekend, I'm going to be hearing about how Chowan got sent to slaughter at the hands of some boys in green and gold with pick axes in their hands. 04-cheers

WKU @ UT - Sorry Toppers, but the Convicts are way better than the Cats in football. UTK by a TD.

ODU @ MD - Depending on which squad shows up for the Terps, ODU could pull this one off.

RE: Your Predictions for Week 2
I really think people are sleeping on FAU's defense. They may not have a SEC type defense but if you look at the stats against Miami I believe they did a good job even though the score does not reflect it. We will win. I just have a gut feeling that it will not be a blow out like most posters are saying.

Miami ran for 300 yards at over 8 yards per carry. They insisted on working on the passing game, which didn't work too well and called off the dogs after the 3rd quarter. Miami should have won by 40+.

Exactly. Game 1s are not about the first halves. You throw the first half out because a lot of games are close at the half. The second half reveals the real teams on the field after adjustments are made. There is no current game film for week 1 so the 1st half is essentially a feeling out period. That is also why it is said that a teams biggest improvement is from week 1 to week 2. In the 2nd half FAU was dominated and it could have been a whole lot worse.

They do, however, have a guy named Judge Wolfe on their roster.
