They were top 20 in total defense last year and returned 9 starters. I think FSU just outclassed Pitt. Plain and simple.

I think Pitt will be fine.

That was my sense too: As much as I'd like to dump on Pitt, that game seemed to be more about FSU having a better team than they've had since the height of the Bowden era than about Pitt sucking.

Wouldn't surprise me if FSU tears through the rest of their schedule until they face Florida almost three months from now. They look beastly.
