I second that! But I'll probably pick UMass.

I don't have respect for UMass. I just have a lot of questions about Maine. Hard to tell how good/bad either one is this year since its so early.

I guess that I have the same questions about JMU now.

Another week, no 100% winners. Obviously the JMU game eliminated all but one or two predictions, then new hampshire's game didn't help the others.

Neither did the Maine game where 13 of you picked UMass.

The biggest whiff was the 'Nova game, right? It was nearly unanimous for a Nova win and Fordham came out on top.

Missed on Albany, JMU and New Hampshire (both of which should have won).

Darn, I forgot to make picks on here. Did make picks on CS. No BS- also went 8-2. Missed Maine over UMass, and like everyone else, Fordham over VU.

Doesn't look like UNH should have won. C Mich out gained UNH 524-361, turnovers were even.

Of the 4 close CAA I-A losses by a TD or less JMU is the only one that dominated statistically but still lost.

WVU out gained W&M 409-309. Turnovers were even at 1 apiece.

NC State with their backup QB (starter went down in opener) out gained UR 444-316, but turned the ball over 4X (2 INT, 2 lost fumbles) to 2X for UR (2 lost fumbles).

RE: CAA Football Predictions - Week 2
On the topic of Fordham knocking off VU, I know Fordham went scholly a few years ago which the Patriot didn't then want to do. So FU became ineligible for the Patriot autobid. The Patriot has now gone scholly but I see FU still doesn't count in the Patriot standings and is still ineligible for the Patriot autobid (I didn't know that- had assumed when Patriot went scholly FU became eligible again. So FU is ineligible for doing what the Patriot has done. WTF?

What's screwed up is Fordham with a win over Nova could very well finish 10-2 or 11-1 (they still have @ Temple, Lehigh, and @ Colgate). Which means the Patriot will likely get 2 teams in- FU and either Colgate or Lehigh, the pre season #1 and #2 picks, respectively. Colgate was the pre season pick to win the Patriot, and they very well could get the auto at 7-5 or 8-4 (they've already lost to Albany and have @ UNH, SBU, @ LU, and Fordham (which would't count as a Conference game).

Well, I meant more that UNH had them, they were up by a score of 21-7 in the fourth quarter. Also CMU got most of that delta in the yardage in the fourth quarter as they stormed back 232 to 60. For whatever reason UNH just fell apart in the 4th, possibly due to lack of depth.

Also went 8-2 on the CAA challenge thing Lyric has going. Missed on JMU and 'Nova. Bit of a headscratcher on that Nova game.

Probably because Fordham has had quite a jump on the other Patriot schools in awarding scholarships. Just looked it up and PL made the announcement in February of 2012 but this season is actually the first that scholarship players have been allowed. Also they are limiting awards to just 15 per season with a max of 60. Not sure if Fordham will adhere to this or not.

Good point. Don't get me wrong, if FU goes 10-2 or 11-1, with a win over a VU team that makes the playoffs, or at least finishes with a winning record, they would definitely deserve an at large bid. Just sucks that FU can't get the auto, which could potentially fall to an 7-5/8-4 Colgate....
