Maybe the better question is, how many more games until they have an interim head coach.

RE: How many games does UConn win?
I hate to jump on them, but they have a tough schedule.

Losses will be Towson, Michigan, South Florida, Cincinnati, Louisville, Central Florida, and Rutgers

Maybes Maryland, Buffalo, SMU, and Temple.

Wins Memphis

They will finish 2-10.

RE: How many games does UConn win?
a loss like that is so demoralizing that its impossible to recover from.

last year Colorado lost to an FCS team in week 2 and we just never recovered.

next week we lost 69-14....to frenso

we lost every game single game after that except a 1 pt. fluke win over wsu

Based on current results, I'd have to say they win Zero more games.

In 2010, Virginia Tech lost to James Madison in week 2 and then went on an 11 game win streak, taking the ACC Championship before losing to Stanford in the Orange Bowl. I think they finished the year with a #13 ranking.

James Madison went on to lose 5 of their next 7 games, and missed the FCS playoffs entirely.

It's sport. This is why we bother putting the players on the field and playing the game, instead of just comparing budgets.

Pitt recovered from a loss like that and went to a bowl.

2010 Va Tech talent level >>> 2012 Colorado talent level. It's much easier to bounce back from a demoralizing loss like that when you are loaded with talent than it is when you are out-talented by almost every team you play.

I suspect the talent level on the 2013 UConn team is much closer to 2012 Colorado than 2010 Va Tech.

Also, I dont believe that VT, nor Pitt were completely dominated by the fcs teams that they lost to. Uconns lost was the 3rd largest margin of victory for an fcs team over a FBS team. This doesnt seem to be some fluke like VT and Pitt losses. Uconn was pushed around all over the field by an fcs team. If the Oline and defense dont improve, I dont see a single win on Uconns schedule, not even Memphis or Maryland.

As a Syracuse fan, I can certainly relate to what Uconn fans are dealing with right now as SU had its worst 4 year period ever when Greg Robinson was pacing the Cuse sidelines, but even during those bleak years, SU never lost to a D1aa team.

Probably somewhere between 1 and 4. This was a team that wasn't suppose to compete for the conference championship. Right now they are the leading candidate for worst BCS conference team this season.

But they also had a new coaching staff and numerous key players suspended for the first game of the season.

RE: How many games does UConn win?
UConn would have already had a hard time getting in the ACC were we to expand again unless it was a Notre Dame joins fully +1 kind of situation. I think this game will do serious damage to any chance they had of getting in one day, and will solidify FSU, Clemson, GT and BC's stance against them (not sure if those were all the schools voting no or not or if those are all correct).

I think UConn can recover from this and finish 6-6 or even 7-5. No better than that.

What I think they will finish is 4-8 or 5-7.

I predicted they'd be 3-9 last month... so it'll either be 2-10 now or they will surprise someone having a bad week.

syracuse takes a hardline stance against them as well. we dont want to elevate another northeast team because that means fewer recruits and smaller tv viewership
