It would be cool if that was a trampoline like surface and the field goals and extra points were bounced back onto the field.

RC didn't screw up, the fire Marshall wouldn't allow it. Wonder how it passed this time?

Depends on what the real story was last time. Somebody speculated that the material wasn't fireproof and that is why the fire marshall wouldn't allow it. Someone else speculated it covered the vomitoriums and that was a fire code violation.

This one is likely made of the proper material and it doesn't cover any of the vomitoriums.

It would be cool if they had the bowl logos or retired jerseys on one side and a huge AAC logo on the other.

Black . . . yuck!!!!!! The non-blue stripes should be gray. The proper PMS shade of course.

Don't get me wrong, this is much better than the previous Ath. administration, but I can't give them a A+ because of the black stripes. The token gray edging doesn't cut it with me.

The new AD talks little but acts often.
The old AD? Just the opposite.

There is talk of 50,000 at the opening game. Of course, I think that was speculation including $5 tickets. I mean we had 39,000+ for UTM with crappy weather.... I hope that don't have to block ANY seating...

Wonder how many seats that is.

All three of those top sections combined...I'd guess around 1,000.

That's about 300 seats right there under that tarp.

It looks great.

In the winter, that might be the warmest spot in the stadium with that huge video shining light on you!

If that's 300 seats, then they need about 50 or 60 more tarps.

One of the greatest debacles ever. They installed the seats without thinking about all the rows behind them. This was right up there with the end zone covers we ordered that the fire marshall did not approve because their were no cutouts for fire escapes.

What I couldn't understand is how anyone could sit back and watch those seats be installed and not foresee the looming PR nightmare.

40,000 would be great.
45,000 would be more than great.
50,000 would be a statement.

Heck---by then we will be playing in a bowl game in an enclosed stadium somewhere.

I'd love to see retired jerseys on one side and former Tigers that are active in the NFL on the other side. We need a visible way to honor retired numbers, and I smile every time they show the current NFL player video on the big screen.
