Informal NIU Watch Party in Madison?
Due to prior commitments, I cannot attend the game this weekend. It's probably for the best, though. Every away and Soldier Field game I've been to, NIU lost!

I just checked out the Alumni Association website and noticed there aren't any watch parties in the Madison, WI area. This is my first football season in Madison so I'm not sure if there is a group of you who organize watch parties. If there aren't any watch parties, can anyone recommend a bar to watch the NIU game?

Any insight is appreciated...

Nothing specific in Madison, although I wouldn't mind setting one up in the future (I'll be @ the Iowa game though).

If you really want to be with NIU fans, I'd suggest driving the hour down to Rockford, it's easy.

As for in Madison, looks like they play UMass @ home at 11 AM (good god that could be a blood bath)...so I wouldn't try for anything around campus or state street, it will be crazy right after that game gets done and be crazy packed (unless you're looking for that).

plenty of decent bars/pubs around town depending on where you live, I'm assuming if they get BTN, they can get the NIU game?

I appreciate the information. I may in fact head down to Rockford to watch the game.
