The lone remaining holdover Johnson is now gone, to take a job as assistant at Berry, a Div 3 school, not a head coach. Jumping ship I would say.

Jumping ship is exactly what I would say this is. Bartow and the staff will likely be fired after this year, so Johnson would be looking for a lower level assistant job then. Why not a year earlier in a more stable situation?

It's Lester's fault.

Seriously, Lukas' apparent flair up is a concern. Does anyone have expertise in this area? Is this a normal symptom after a torn achilles surgey? Lukas is the closest player we have to a true '5'. We desperately need his experience and length.

Given the "state of the program", it's hard for me not to read into Coach Johnson's departure. Maybe he is making a life decision versus a career one, but this seems like more evidence that the house of cards is tumbling down.

The party is over, turn out the lights, warm the showers, pack suitcases and call moving van.
