1 - Almost every conservative I know says if its the life of the mother or the life of the child *THAT* is a medical decision. Liberals like to set their flag there but pretend that includes everything for nay reason right up until birth. You're not only wrong you're dishonest
2 - There are also PHD's who say the warming we saw in the 90's and 00's is (1) mostly reversed, and (2) part of a natural cycle. But this is where you bring out the no true Scotsman argument to ignore that.
3 - Conservatives believe in Evolution *some* Christian conservatives do not.
1 - Maybe where you are, but not the conservatives I have met.
2 - 97% of climate scientists say global climate change is being accelerated by man. I've seen PhD's from other, completely unrelated fields saying that it is mostly reversed or part of a natural cycle. Why should I listen to a Doctor of Philosophy talk about global climate change. Sorry, I'll take Climate Scientists' words.
3. So why are many Christian conservatives trying to force schools to teach pseudo-scientific "Intelligent Design" along side actual scientific Evolution?
1 - Today, the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in the United States, opposes elective abortion except to save the life of the mother. It's documented almost all denominations even the most conservative ones opt for this. The several conservatives that can stomach five minutes in a room with you are not reality, just your perception.
2 - First no, its not 97% of climate scientist, its 97% *PUBLISHED* climate science papers. It is possible to publish more than one paper in the study (they looked at I think 12K papers). Even going with that the degree to which they say it does varies greatly *and* none of the models predicted the roughly 10 years of cooling we have been experiencing which has brough use pretty close to what things were in the 80. Anyone who says "the science is settled" is no friend of the scientific process.
3 - Not all conservatives are Christian and not all Christian Conservatives deny evolution. Of the Christian Conservatives who *do* deny evolution a lot of them don't care whats taught in science classes.
I know it's a bit nuanced but your clearly superior liberal mind should be able to see that as a venn diagram before saying "all conservatives are x"
The only scientists that matter are the ones that published papers. Billy Bob can fight his way to a degree. Doesn't mean he knows enough to publish a paper.
10 years of cooling? What planet are you living on? July marked the 341st consecutive month of above average temperatures.
Not in my neck of the woods. We had one of the coolest July's in history.

Carter is correct that global temperatures hit a high point in 1998. Several entities — including NASA, the Climate Research Unit in the United Kingdom and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the United States — track temperature changes. Generally speaking, their records show that 1998, a year when a warming pattern called El Nino ruled the weather, is the hottest we've had since scientists started collecting temperature information in the mid 1800s. NASA, on the other hand, pins 2005 as the hottest year on record.

I don't think it was just Oklahoma.

If this is global warming, I like it.
