RE: Jake Rudock to Start for Iowa
Rudock is probably going to be good but I don't see him lighting us up. I just don't. Ward/Durante will be one of the better safety duos he sees all year and we're fine at corner. Our linebacking core is as athletic as any I've seen since I began following NIU, including Lemon who played safety in high school. If our d-line can get a push whatsoever I don't see Rudock beating us. I do worry about their running game though.

No, I would not.
At this point in time, would you expect anything written about NIU in the Iowa City Press-Citizen, Cedar Rapids Gazette, or Des Moines Register would necessarily have extra insight or accuracy in regard to the Huskies?
Absolutely nothing against the Daily Chronicle staff putting out HuskieWire, but they've been busy watching NIU practices and focusing on previewing the Huskies. Perhaps I missed it, but if they've run much on Iowa it's probably been from wire service reports or using info provided by Iowa media relations.

RE: Jake Rudock to Start for Iowa
On one side, there's no way that Ferentz is going to name Rudock the starter and then not start him. If things go horribly wrong it's entirely possible we might see Beathard or Sokol, but Rudock is the guy at this point.

That said, Iowa's two deeps are aways fun in that the Iowa fan-base dramatically overreacts when certain players don't show up on them, even though those players are likely to play considerably.

This year's examples are Daniels and Powell, as neither are listed and both should see the field next week.

Yes, their running game concerns me more than their QB. If they can pound the ball and control the clock, it could get very interesting
