I can hear all the black is not a school color haters, now! Actually, I like TCUs regular helmet better and while I like black and purple together, they went all black with not enough purple. I liked our black and purple jerseys from 2 years ago better.

What the hell is that reddish orange stripe on the helmet? Ugly. I'm all for variations in uniform, but this borders with tacky.

I agree with this and don't see how you'd really morph them to fit for JMU without completely changing them. I like them ok for TCU, but there's still not enough purple, not at all for JMU. I guess those are supposed to be like horns on the helmets since they're the Horned Frogs. But yeah, I usually like black uniforms but these are too much all black. Black and purple look awesome together and they didn't take advantage of that.

Butt ugly.

I would seriously not root for JMU as hard if we went out there in those ridiculous things. For the life of me.....what is it with the people who constantly want to change the uniforms to something disgusting like that. We. Have. Great. Uniforms. Black and purple is the ultimate cool combination. But I agree with others, it's too much black and not enough purple here. (It's better when the guy wears the sleeves, but that's not enough.)

Umm... no. I don't think we need a uniform style that looks like a Nike designer swallowed a bunch of non-toxic paint and then vomited it back up on a helmet and a jersey.

Yeah that is a pretty ugly damn helmet... not Jacksonville jaguars bad... but pretty bad.

At least they are not late 80's/early 90's neon colors like some unis I've seen; that crap reminds me of what NASCAR stands looked like back then. I think TCU's look good and are bad @$$.

I would like to see what Nike designers would come up with for JMU if we let them go crazy. The team wouldn't wear the uniforms unless somebody at JMU signed off on the design anyway.

Yep, at least that's what the local Dallas papers are saying. Some kind of defense mechanism and obviously a way for Nike to tie in a different color. Too bad they forgot about TCU's primary color PURPLE.

I understand that these don't work for us as they are designed for TCU but my thread started with an admission that I don't know how to design these unis but some on her know how. If we take the basic TCU design and morph it, we can design something cool. The helmet alone could be cool if there was a gold stripe instead of the red stripe on the TCU helmet.
