Why Marius Hill could be our next Johnny Bell
He's obviously a very strong player in the paint and around the basket. In the last exhibition game, he was 5 for 5 from the field, but maybe even more important, five for six from the free throw line. We knew from his recruitment that he is a ferocious rebounder. As he matures and gets stronger, he could be the type of player like George Fant from Western. Not really tall, but very active and productive.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him play. I look for him to be in the top eight on our squad before the season is over.04-cheers

That's Johnnie, like in Johnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnie Bell. I'd take a Johnnie Bell anytime. He was a workhorse.

One of our all time best since I've been a fan. I loved it when Mark Byrd would make that call after a basket and we would respond. And how Mark referred to USA as the Jagwyres.

Another thing about Johnnie was, he'd be the one guy I'd want to have along if I had to walk through a dark alley in a bad part of any town. He looked like he's fight a circle saw.

No telling. He's one of those that I've spoken about many times, and that's not a knock on Johnnie, but most of our players(especially those from out of state)who play here, we never hear from or of them again. When they leave Dodge, they're history. I'd bet that he and Jeff Cummings(and most others)have never set foot in LR since they left here.
