I figure everyone will pick the conference home of their favorite school, which turns into a boring popularity contest amongst schools. However, picking a second favorite conference seems harder to predict and thus more interesting.

Favorite is ACC.

2nd Fav for Football is PAC12, for Basketball is BigEast.

Ok, let's make this the "What's your second favorite conference thread?". My second favorite conference is a close tie between the Pac 12 and C-USA. Very close. My favorite is, of course, the SEC.

For me, SEC is #1 in fb. Might actually be ACC believe it or not- think they're maybe 1-2 years away from really being something that could challenge... Definitely not Big 10(watching paint dry) or Big 12(absolutely no defense). I think I'll take ACC over Pac 12.

in bb, BE #1, but then #2 is really wide open. a lot of depth now quite frankly. Want to see how everything shakes out with these conference shifts. Curious to see how ACC and Big Ten evolve with the new members.

Favorite is the Big Ten obviously. Not long ago I would have answered this SEC as that was the area of the country where I lived but now....now I have to say PAC as that is the conference of regional games I will be most following locally.

MWC (not counting that TCU team that jumped around a lot, them I dont' like!) ... I've always been a fan of the 'underdogs' (and for some reason I always had a soft spot for Wyoming when I was growing up...)

EDIT: This is football-centric because there are a lot more basketball conferences, and since almost any team can have a magical run through the tourney, almost every conference has some relevance, so there aren't enough slots to give every relevant conference a chance to be an option.

I didn't break it down by sport. The BE is my #1 conference but I root for Rutgers FB so I said B1G.

If that means B1G is my #1 in FB then I would have to say I enjoy watching the SEC.

In BBall after the BE I'd say i do enjoy the top level of B1G, though the bottom of that league is atrocious. Ever watch a Penn St/Iowa BBall game? Ugh! The top of the ACC is fun to watch as well.

MWC is first for me. PAC12 second. Actually its kinda a tie.

AAC, SEC.... Least ACC. I'm sure it would be differen't if ECU was in an SEC state with 4 other schools...oh wait, that's not possible.

One thing to expand on my thoughts on waiting to see with regards to the basketball- it'll be interesting to see if the offiiciating changes at all with all these conference shifts. Especially in the Big East/AAC and even to a bit of a lesser degree, the ACC.

I think if we're going to see someone beat the SEC it'd be this year. I think it'd be very hard to beat the SEC starting next year with a 4 team playoff, SEC is so good. This year, where SEC has to finish top 2 will be much more difficult. I mean, like last year, if Ohio St is eligible they're probably in the title game over Bama. Next year, Bama would have been 3 and heck, Florida quite possibly 4. Would have to beat them on the field which is a lot easier said than done.

As a UConn fan, I hate all conferences right about now, including the one we are currently in. I love the Old Big East. Best conference ever. Now, I'm just a fan of my school, period.

Pac-12 (Utah's new home) and MAC are my co-favorites, but I enjoy Big10 FB and BB (on TV - I don't go to their games). This is mainly locational as I used to watch different local conferences when I lived in Cincinnati - and Tennessee - and Missouri etc.

Actually "that hush puppy" never existed because TCU never played a down in the BigEast FB 2.0

My 1st favorite is the Big Ten since Rutgers will be there next year. My 2nd favorite is the ACC. I like the whole Atlantic Seaboard version of the Pac-12 angle.

I don't have a first favorite conference, so it was pretty easy for me to vote "none" as my second favorite conference.
