So, someone takes a thread about ODU Helmets that has 202 responses and 7,119 views, an ODU Stadium thread with 35 posts and 1,053 views in less than one day and moves them to Off Topic. Seems to me like the Board members liked discussing those topics! Nothing like giving the people what they like! Sure way to kill a discussion. Nobody goes to the off topic tab to see what is going on. H'burg, did you do that?

Eliminate the OT tab and just let people put OT on the thread title like they tend to do. Don't cave in to a few whiny posters. If they don't like the thread topic they don't have to read it. As a monitor, simply put an OT in front of the title if the poster didn't. Problem solved. Kiss Principle. Keep it simple silly.

+1 vote for not moving threads to OT or other forums. I never leave the "safety" of the JMU forum... for better or worse.

I didn't say anything about moving it.. my comment was just intended to be a suggestion for other posts, that's all. It's not that difficult to put OT in front of something not related to JMU.
Just a constructive criticism. Call it whiny, bitchy, whatever- was just trying to help the boards not hurt them.

It's still in the jmu page. It's right at the top. The pages you ignore.
Btw any moderator can move or lock threads. It was a mod.
Count me in the minority I guess. I prefer the 27 off topic ole dirty threads to stop cropping up like weeds.

Sure it was Hypers favorite Ole Dirty mod. Trying to bury the threads where no one will see or address them any longer.

just dispense with the OT forum altogether. This isn't that hard.

Sometimes our OT threads have the best info in them (and typically turn into JMU-centric threads anyways). I say keep them in the main forum.

The solution is obvious. The OT thread should stand for "ON topic" and everything "relevant" should be moved there...and everything else...ya know, conference conspiracy theories, hating on ODU and their fans, which coaches and administrators should be hired/fired, etc. (basically the stuff worth reading) will stay right where it is!
