I look at it as that also. Sure, we want the biggest and best but we don't help the school any by artificially inflating a list. Although in the grand scheme of things most of what we say or do on here has little impact. It's the wallets that talk.

$$$$$ speaks louder than words. Instead of talking them into signing a list, talk to your companies about making a donation. Might even be able to designate it for a certain part of the stadium.

I certainly would not advocate artificially inflating the wait list. That is why I suggested to talking to those who have interest. I suspect there are plenty of folks who are not on the list because they know that their ability to get season tickets is dependent on the level of giving. If there were more seats available there would be more people interested. Not everyone wants to donate, they just want a ticket.

Ah, completely agree. Anyone I know that asks me about it and has intentions of buying a season ticket I'll be telling them to get on the waiting list and pass that exact info along.

Back to the stadium/marina idea, I think it would be really cool if something like that could happen. I do know for a fact though that there is not a lot of water back around the sailing center (assuming that's the area we're talking about the marina being located). I took sailing as an undergrad, and we walked the boats out past the end of the pier that's there now before jumping in them. The water was only about waist/stomach high on me (and I'm what you might call a bit vertically challenged). It would be a significant investment to do something like this. Of course, maybe that's why WS is saying that a 30,000 seat stadium is going to cost 100 million!!

If I had any say in the plans for the stadium I would build a stadium/ marina center.

Attached to the marina I would have a fine dining/ bar (seafood) restaurant that would be open yearlong/ serve as a nice banquet hall. I would plan for 20 or so boat slips that can be rented month to month. Have a 30 room hotel attached to the stadium. Five to ten studio size apartments that can oversee both the field and waterfront that some of our higher rollers could rent by the year $$$$$!!!! I have a couple more off the wall ideas but I'll stop for now.

And I'm sure the Corps of Engineers will need to review any plan to dredge. I think it would be worth it, but the marina my come later.

I have gone kayak fishin over there and my depth finder was from 3ft to 6ft from the end of the pier

Like the Gray better, but the White is good for a more 'classic' look. Would be great to do an 'all white' uni combo!

Pics in that article show the team getting ready for the team pic, but as of this morning, last year's team pic was still on odusports.com
