Not really. I could give a flying bucket of crap less about conferences. to me it's about teams, players, rivalries.

culturally colorado/utah fit pretty well with arizona & california schools. they were always westard looking schools so i dont see an issue there.

cuse/duke almost feels natural and syracuse in the acc makes a lot more sense than rutgers or uconn

tcu fits in with the b12

rutgers/md academically are textbook examples of what a b10 school looks like. MD is a traditional psu rival

it sucks that aggie no longer plays UT but they fit in pretty well with the SEC west

the only non-cultural moves so far are mizz, & wvu
If you ever spend any time in Southern Missouri, you will see the cultural similarities with Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Northern Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. Does culture just stop at the state line or something?

but what about northern missouri?

i went on a massive roadtrip in january. visited the campuses of syracuse, ohio state, missouri kansas, kansas state, & colorado in one care ride. now i grew up with the b10 and have been to every b10 campus except UNL and after looking at missouri it looks exactly like a b10 school. Its pretty rare for me to say that (colorado kinda looks like one too and is the only other school i will say that for)

Say moving to another conference means you lose that rivalry? I never understood out rivalry with Nebraska, but some people were pretty upset with game going away. If would hope that the new rivalries would be as intense or better in the new conference. I can think of two places they would be worse.

nebraska was OUs biggest conf. rivalry for a long time before the b12. i guess gtwon cuse is a god comparison. its something that died slowly, and by the time it died you kinda forget the significance of what that rivalry once was.

That rivalry died while you were both in the same conference. Nebraska departing had nothing to do with that.
