Note: Practice Times change below.

Other notes from Tuesday's practice:

• Defensive end George Rainey and cornerback Sean Evans didn't practice. Carey said both are just dinged up, and won't be out for an extended period of time.

• Carey said NIU is starting to get more and more into game preparation for Iowa, but that the Huskies are going to keep pushing and working on the little things.

• The practice schedule for the rest of the week has changed. NIU will hold practices at 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday and Friday. The Huskies will hold a mock game Saturday at 2:35 p.m.

• NIU tested out the new video board and ribbon boards Tuesday. I'll just say both will look real nice on game days

Good to hear Rainey and Evans are not serious and will return shortly. I like the over cautious holding guys back, no need to get a serious injury this early.

^^^

It's also a good way to let some younger guys and players buried on the depth chart get a few more reps. Everyone on the team needs to be 100% ready to play this season if they're healthy. I expect to get everyone's best and I expect the Huskies to give everyone their best. There has been a lot of big talk this off-season, time to step up to the plate.

I was not at the scrimmage, but I heard he and Winkle did not dress due to injuries.
