"You have to give Calgary credit for its performance last night. But I was very encouraged by what I saw from our team over the final 20 minutes of the game. We had 13 offensive rebounds, shot 49% from the floor, moved the ball on offense and defended much better in the 3rd & 4th quarters. Also, we want to keep the minutes balanced on this trip. We want all our guys to learn and gain experience, and to do that you need to play. Tonight, I want our team to come out and start the game with the same aggression and fight that we showed at the end of last night's game."

It's fine to give everyone PT but, why not win the ballgame first. Isn't that the goal in playing the game?

Not in these games. They don't count on the record.

I believe someone said that UA-Fort Smith won't count on the record either, but you sure don't want to lose to them.

I agree. These games are not about winning or losing. Everyone needs to play. I'm sure that Steve was trying to win the last few minutes, like he should be. Prior to that it should be a learning experience for everyone on the team.

I agree, but preseason games are a little different situation, especially this far in front of the season. It is about learning, and getting in sync.

I like the attitude of "wanting to win and expecting to win". I have never believed there was much to be gained in competitive sports by not trying your best to win the contest.

Sure you try your best, but in a game like this you are not going to have your optimum team on the floor much of the time.

Two very encouraging things. The way James White and Gus Leeper played. That could be very important for our success this year.

If White and Leeper have big years, watch out!

Let's just keep them healthy.
