Cheating in elections is a nonpartisan problem. Voter fraud, whether it is someone voting as someone else, voting more than once, or voting illegally is the least effective and least often utilized forms of cheating. That is the bottom line.

That's true - much more effective to open the candy store and give everyone "benefits" from taxes collected. Unfortunately, most of the "benefit recipients" didn't pay any taxes. "Benefits" for votes - easy way to win if you can get away with it.............. and Obama has.

While that may or may not be true, Creb, it's also a simple problem to fix. The number of people who actually don't have ID is relatively small... and often those that don't have a nefarious, and not benign reason for not having it. We should require positive ID for ANY services provided at taxpayer expense... period.

Never been to Chicago, huh? Or Illinois in general. Just because you say it doesn't make it true.

The double voting in different states that I posted above would require some kind of national db of voter registration that could be updated in real time as people vote. All it would need to show is if somebody has voted already. I could still see problems with folks trying to game that system and somebody could easily be disenfranchised if somebody had used their name and voted in a place where a photo voter ID is not required. While I am skeptical of anything involving a national db, the only way I could see around that problem is to eliminate some of the early voting, limiting it to the day (or 2 days) before the actual election. Would make it harder to vote in 2 different states.

But there are still integrity problems with things like absentee ballots, mail-in ballots, motor voter registrations, etc.
