The City of Troy canceled their July Fourth celebration because of rain and will be shooting the fireworks off in conjunction with the game.

I believe I'm going to be going down there. UTC has their home opener that Thursday night so I'm planning on going down to Birmingham for the weekend, drive down to Troy Saturday, and come back right after the game. Should make for a nice labor day weekend. What are we looking at as far as a tailgate?

IIRC, that wasn't SLB. It was a poster who still posts on here. SLB didn't get banned until the last part of the season when the losses started piling on...just before Watson started calling in from his coach's office while "out recruiting."

he was at most of the home games last year

My favorite SLB moment was when he showed up for a UAB - Memphis basketball game dressed as calipari's illigitament son and sat right behind the Memphis bench yelling things like "daaaad, why are the refs being mean to us" all night.

Made me think of something. Where is Cajun Blazer?

The UAB National Alumni Society has an away tailgate at Troy starting at 4pm.

"The UAB National Alumni Society will be tailgating prior the UAB vs. Troy game on Saturday, August 31. Join us for a FREE BBQ dinner with fellow Blazer fans before the game. Our tent will be located at Troy University at Hamil Hall next to the Trojan Center. Tailgate will open at 4:00 p.m. Go Blazers!"
